Ecological culture and environmental protection
We cultivate in an ecological way, without irrigation, and protect to the maximum the very large biodiversity present on our site. We fertilize our gardens with composted manure and vegetable compost. Weeding is done manually and mechanically, and insect pests are managed either by anti-insect netting or manual harvesting. We prefer not to treat our crops against diseases. We believe that part of the work of breeding is done there, eliminating plants that succumb rather than trying to save them, and that our methods help preserve natural resources and provide you with resistant varieties.
Our seed envelopes are made from recycled paper andour padded mailing envelopes are made from recycled and compostable materials. We also prefer to avoid unnecessary printing and send invoices by email only.
Anti-waste
Tomato, chili, bell pepper, squash, watermelon and cantaloupe seeds are harvested at the edible stage. We do as much processing, canning, freezing and dehydrating as we need to. We then strive to give whatever we can to our families, neighbors and friends as well as to food aid in our area.
