Short-lived perennial (2 to 3 years). Most often grown as an annual or biennial. Single yellow flower with brown center. 40 to 70 cm high. Long flowering. Nectariferous plant of interest to butterflies. Native to North America. Re-seeds itself a little. Withstands dry soil well. Blooms the 1st year with indoor sowing. Sow late June for flowering in 2nd year.
Full sun to part shade. Well-drained, dry soil. Sow indoors at the end of April. Transplanting or direct sowing in June. 1mm deep. 20 cm between plants.
Germination: 70% in December 2023
