Perrennial. Blue-purple flower in the shape of a globe. Silvery green and thorny leaves. 80cm to 1 meter high. Long flowering from July to September. Attracts birds and butterflies. Also called azure ball. Hardiness zone 3.

Full sun. Well drained or dry soil. Sow indoors in early April. Sow or transplant in early June. Sow on the surface. 40 cm between plants.

Germination: 70% in December 2023
