Chinese larkspur
Delphinium grandiflorum

Short-lived perennial, 2 to 4 years. 35 to 50 cm high. Intense bloom of small dark blue flowers from July to the end of September. Hardiness zone 4.

Full sun. Very well drained soil. Direct sowing in June or indoor sowing in early April and transplanting after any risk of frost. Does not support transplanting. 1 mm deep. 15 cm between plants. Plants are slow to start in the spring, so be sure to indicate where they are planted.

Germination: 74% in December 2023
