Cosmic Purple Carrot
Daucus carota sativus

A very colorful carrot, purple with orange flesh and sometimes a small yellow heart. Wonderful sweet flavor. Juicy. Excellent for eating raw, cooking or freezing. Danvers type. Harvest between 10 and 15 cm in length. 60 days to maturity.

Full sun. Loose, well-drained soil. To facilitate seed germination, place 1 or 2 cm of potting soil on the surface before sowing. Direct sowing from early May to early July (zone 4). 5 mm deep. Thin to 6 cm. We recommend growing under netting to avoid damage caused by carrot fly larvae. How to prevent carrot fly.
