Sweet pepper Criolla de Cocina
Capsicum annuum
Red sweet pepper (green turning red when ripe). 7 to 12 cm long, thin flesh, sweet, fruity flavor. Excellent for eating fresh, roasted or marinated. Freezes well. Also makes an excellent paprika. Productive plant, 50 to 75 cm tall. Originally from Nicaragua. Criolla De Cocina means Creole cuisine. 65 days to maturity.
Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 8 to 12 weeks before the last frost. Transplant when temperature is above 10°C. 6 mm deep. 40 cm between plants. Germinates in 7 to 10 days at 28-30°C.
