Echinacea
Echinacea purpurea
Perrennial. A medicinal and nectariferous plant that attracts butterflies. Pink flowers with orange hearts and downward-arched petals. 120 cm high. Blooms from late July to September.
Full sun. Well-drained, rich soil, but tolerates poor soils. Well-drained soil is very important for longevity. Direct sowing in May, June or indoor sowing in early April. 2mm deep and 30 cm between plants. Hardiness zone 3.
Germination: 84% in December 2023
