Gill’s Golden Pippin Squash
Cucurbita pepo
Small orange acorn squash, 7 to 10 cm in diameter. Tasty, non-fibrous yellow flesh of excellent quality. Creeping plant of about 2 meters, very productive. Developed by Gill Brother, Oregon, in 1952. 85 days to maturity.
Full sun. Well drained and rich soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 2 to 5 weeks before. 2 cm deep. 60 cm between plants.
Germination: 98% in November 2023
Ecological seeds produced at Catherine’s Ornamental Garden.
