Rainbow Loveliness common pink
Dianthus plumarius

Perennial. 40 cm tall. Small, finely cut, edible and very fragrant flowers of various colors, two-toned pink, white, lilac or red. Blooms the first year and can survive 2 or 3 winters. Heirloom variety (1920). Also called Mignardise carnation. Hardiness Zone 3.

Full sun, rich, well-drained soil. Sow indoors 8 to 10 weeks before the last frost date. 2 mm deep. 20 cm between plants.
