Description
Red-flowered buckwheat
Fagopyrum esculentum
Annual. Small pink flowers fading to dark reddish-pink. Very long-lasting bloom from July until frost. Attracts pollinators. Large, bushy plant, up to 1.50 m high and as wide. Full sun, part shade. Well drained soil. Sow indoors 2-4 weeks before last frost. Transplant when temperature is above 10°C. 1 cm deep. 30 cm between plants.
Germination: 90% in November 2024
