Fortin rutabaga
Brassica napus var. rapifera

Excellent purple rutabaga with yellow flesh. Can be harvested small or large. The flavor is sweeter when harvested young. For winter storage, harvest when roots are mature. Heirloom variety selected by the Fortin family of Cap Saint-Ignace, Quebec.

Direct sowing after any risk of frost or 5 weeks before for an early harvest. 1 cm deep. 20 cm between plants. 70-120 days to maturity.

Germination: 99% in November 2023
