Tomato Betalux
Solanum lycopersicum

Red tomato. 4 to 7 cm in diameter, round, sometimes flattened. Good balanced flavor, sweet and sour, juicy, with few seeds. Dwarf plants from 40 to 60 cm high. Easy to stake and suitable for pot cultivation. Very early and productive. Potato foliage. Polish commercial variety. Determinate. 60 days to maturity.

Full sun, well-drained, rich soil. Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. 5 mm deep. Requires heat for germination, ±30 °C. 50 cm between plants.

Note
This is a very small plant, but with tomatoes that aren’t so small. The flavor and texture are similar to beefsteak tomatoes. It’s perfect in burgers, even if you need more than one slice.

For indoor cultivation, we recommend keeping it in potting soil in a minimum 2-gallon pot. According to our tests, aeroponics does not suit it. The Betalux tomato is often described as a 40 cm tall micro-dwarf. It becomes a micro-dwarf only if grown in a small pot. For larger tomatoes, prune the plants a little.
