Bean Deseronto Potato<\/strong>

Dry bean. Climbing plant, need a 2 meters support. White grain.
\nHarvested dry or fresh shelled. Shells easily. An interesting legume for thickening soups, stews and sauces. They can also be mashed to resemble mashed potatoes. A rare Mohawk bean from the Tyendinaga reserve in Deseronto, Ontario. Also known as Mohawk Moon.<\/p>\n

Full sun, well drained soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 10 days before. 2 cm deep. 15 cm between plants.<\/p>\n

Germination: 99% in December 2025<\/strong>
\nEcological seeds produced at Catherine’s Ornamental Garden.<\/em><\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong>
\nThis is an excellent large bean! The texture is creamy, the skin is very thin and it cooks quickly. If you want to keep it intact, you need to simmer it very slowly on low heat, in the slow cooker it’s perfect. <\/p>\n
