A waterless and almost odorless slurry exists!
Concentrated liquid fertilizer is less odorous than liquid manure, easier to make and does not require stirring or filtering.
- Pile the coarsely chopped plants into a pail, or a barrel, depending on the quantities you wish to produce. The container should have several small holes in the bottom.
- Place a lid on the container without closing it tightly, or place the container in the rain.
- Place a dish underneath. The juice will eventually drain after 2 to 3 weeks.
- New plants can be added at any time.
- To use the concentrated juice, dilute it in 40 times its volume of water.
- Can be kept for several months.
All plants can be used to make a concentrated liquid fertilizer, but some are richer in nutrients than others.
