Thai basil
Ocimum basilicum var. thyrsiflora
Annual. A small green leaf with a spicy flavor reminiscent of tarragon and anise. The purple-pink flowers are edible. Bushy plant, 40 to 80 cm tall. Suitable for container gardening.
Full sun, well drained soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 6 to 10 weeks before. Sow on the surface. 30 cm between plants.
Germination: 96% in November 2024
