Wild bergamot
Monarda fistulosa
Perennial. Aromatic and medicinal plant. Native to North America. Lavender-pink flowers. 1 to 1.5 meters high. Nectariferous plant of great interest to pollinating insects, butterflies and hummingbirds. Hardiness Zone 3.
Full sun to part shade. Well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors mid-April and transplant after any risk of frost. Direct sowing in June and July. Sow on the surface. 15 cm between plants.
Germination: 85% in November 2025
