American mountain mint
Pycnanthemum pilosum
Aromatic perennial and condiment. Forms a 1-meter-high bush. Does not need a tutor. Not invasive. Small white flowers attract pollinators. The leaves are used dried to make tea. Native to North America. Does not bloom the first year. Hardiness zone 3.
Full sun, part shade. Well drained soil. Direct sow after any risk of frost or sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before. Sow on the surface. 20 cm between plants.
Germination: 75% in November 2023
