Cress Wrinkled Crinkled Crumpled
Lepidium sativum

Watercress with wrinkled, crumpled leaves. A practical, vitamin-packed little green that adds flavor to our dishes. Harvest between 20 and 50 days after sowing. Well suited to container and aeroponics. In late summer, seed panicles make interesting fresh or dry bouquets. A Frank Morton variety, from a cross of different Alen cresses.

Full sun to part shade. Well drained soil. Direct sowing from 3 weeks before the last frost. 2 mm deep. 10 cm between plants. Germinates rapidly in 3 to 5 days.

Given the name, we had no choice but to produce it… The idea is to have a little fun during the Seed Festival. Come and see us and ask for Wrinkled Crinkled Crumpled watercress seeds… I’m sure I’m not the only one in the world who can’t pronounce that!
