Pea Flämische Riesen Schnàbel
Pisum sativum var. vulgare
A very good, low-sugar shelled pea with a buttery flavour. Need a 1.50 meter high support. Productive. A very rare variety obtained from Will Bonsall in 2018. The name means ‘Flemish Giant Beak’, the pods are curved like a bird’s beak. Also makes an excellent soup pea. 90 days to maturity.
Direct sowing at the beginning of May. 2 cm deep and 10 cm apart.
Germination: 98% in December 2025
