Foxglove Yellow
Digitalis grandiflora
Perennial. 60 to 100 cm high. Wand of bell-shaped flowers, yellow with brown spots inside. Blooms in July-August. Makes beautiful cut flowers. Nectariferous plant appreciated by bumblebees and butterflies. Does not bloom the first year. Hardiness zone 2.
Full sun to part shade. Well-drained but moist soil (mulch recommended). Direct sowing in June or indoor sowing in mid-April and transplanting at the end of May. Sow on the surface, seeds need light to germinate. 30 cm between plants.
Germination: 75% in December 2025
