Pea King Tut
Pisum sativum var. vulgare

Superb soup pea with purple pods. Purple, pink and white flowers. Climbing plant, very productive, needs a 2-meter support. Can also be eaten as snaps, but the pods must be harvested very small. Legend has it that pea seeds were found in King Tutankhamun’s tomb.

Sow directly outdoors in May, 2 cm deep and 10 cm apart.

Germination: 98% in December 2025
Ecological seeds produced at Catherine’s Ornamental Garden.
