Large-flowered malope
Malope trifida

Annual. Large dark pink or pale pink flowers with purple veins. Sometimes white. Bushy habit. 60 cm to 1 meter high. Flowering in August and September. Succeeds well in a pot. Young leaves and flower buds edible.

Full sun. Rich, well-drained and dry soil. Direct sowing after any risk of frost or indoor sowing 6 to 8 weeks before. 30 cm apart. 6 mm deep.

Germination: 60% in January 2025 (7-15 days at 20-25°C)
