Beet Lutz Green Leaf
Beta vulgaris

Red-fleshed beet. Remains non-fibrous, sweet and tender, even when very large. An old variety from Germany. Good storage capacity. Also known as Winter Keeper. 90-120 days.

Full sun, well-drained, rich soil. Direct sowing from 3 to 4 weeks before the last frost. Sowing possible until early July (in zone 4). Thin out after germination. 1 cm deep. 15 cm between plants.
