Pea Fondant de Saint-Desirat
Pisum sativum var. macrocarpon

Tasty snow peas with yellow pods. Harvest between 6 and 8 cm in length. Very productive. Climbing plant, need a 2 meters support. Heirloom variety from France. 65 days to maturity.

Full sun, part shade. Direct sowing at the beginning of May. 2 cm deep. 10 cm between plants.

Germination: 98% in December 2025

Our original source identified the variety as Fondant de Saint-Désirat, but it turned out to be exactly the same as the Golden Sweet variety in our gardens in 2023. There’s probably a misidentification in the name. The pea is really good, enjoy it, yellow snow peas don’t exist in the markets. 🙂
