Note
Appearing in our catalog on January 2021. In 2019, we decided to find the best beefsteak tomato that ripens green. Until then, Spear’s Tennessee Green was my go-to tomato. So we grew the 7 varieties we could find in Canada, the United States and Europe (there aren’t tons, after all). Malachite Box clearly stood out. It’s one of our top picks, all varieties included! It’s so good, it’s almost sacrilegious to put it in a sandwich! Simply cut it into quarters and eat it as is. As a bonus, thanks to its color, it’s a tomato that doesn’t get stolen from community gardens 😉
