Zinnia elegans

Annual. Orange flowers, single or double. Occasional yellow flowers. 70 cm to 1.20 m high. Makes beautiful cut flowers. A nectar-bearing plant loved by bees, bumblebees and butterflies.

Full sun, well drained soil. Sow indoors in early May. Direct sowing or transplanting when there is no longer a risk of frost. 1 cm deep. 25 cm between plants.

Germination: 89% in December 2025
