Sweet marjoram
Origanum majorana

Perennial in zone 6, can be grown as an annual in colder zones. Slightly creeping plant, 30 cm high. Can be grown in containers. Also called shell marjoram because of the particular shape of its bracts.

Full sun, well drained soil. Sow indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost. 2 mm deep. 20 cm between plants. Germinates in 8-21 days at 20°C.
