Telekia speciosa syn. Buphthalmum speciosum
Perennial. 80 cm to 1.50 meter high. Yellow flower. Large leaves of more than 30 cm. Blooms from July to September. Also called heart-leaved oxeye or yellow oxeye. Appreciated by birds and butterflies. Native to Central Europe. Hardiness zone 4.
Half-shade or full sun. Adapts to all types of soil, but prefers when it is clayey and humid. Sow indoors in early April, transplant or direct sowing in June after any risk of frost. Sow on the surface. 40 cm between plants.
Germination: 75% in November 2025
