Lettuce Ballon
Lactuca sativa L. var longifolia

Delicious romaine lettuce with large elongated green leaves. Can become very large. Heat and bolting tolerant. Harvest the leaves as needed, or cut to 3 cm from the ground, it will grow back.

Indoor sowing in April or direct sowing from May. Ideal germination temperature between 8 and 15 ºC. 6 mm deep. 30 cm between plants.

Germination: 96% in December 2025
