Kilometer bean
Vigna unguiculata subsp. sesquipedalis

Pole bean, need a support of 1,20 meter. Long, thin green beans that can be eaten young as a snap. Best cooked. Harvest at about 30 cm. Can measure more than 80 cm in length at maturity. Also known as asparagus bean, Chinese green bean or Yard Long bean.

Full sun, well-drained, rich soil. Sow indoors 5 to 8 weeks before the last frost. 2 cm deep. 20 cm between plants.
