Note
Bought in 2010 from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange, we’ve been growing it ever since. The mushroom flavor is very subtle when raw (it depends on each person…) and in our experience it disappears with cooking. This is the fleshiest yellow bean we’ve tested. There’s no other like it. It is very productive and does not develop string quickly, so it keeps a long time in the plants and can be harvested even when very large. It fills up a plate fast! If you prefer small snap beans, harvest them when they are young and yellow-green in color. And if you prefer standard beans, opt for Monte Gusto instead.
