Broomcorn
Sorghum bicolor
Annual. Can reach 3 meters tall. Large stalk that looks a bit like a corn plant. Panicle of edible grains in various colors, beige, golden brown, reddish brown. Important cereal plant in Africa. Also used for decoration or to make biodegradable brooms.
Full sun. Well drained soil. Indoor sowing in April or direct sowing at the end of May.
Germination: 80% in December 2025
