Summer cabbage. Up to 20 cm in diameter. 3 to 4 lbs. Early and compact. Ideal for coleslaw. Keeps well. A heirloom variety from Denmark. 65 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 1 to 6 weeks before transplanting. Transplant from 4 weeks before last frost. Sowing possible up to early July (zone 4). 6 mm deep. 60 cm between plants.

Germination: 96% in December 2025
Untreated, non-GMO seeds from West Coast Seeds, BC, Canada.

Note
Harvested 3 to 4 months after sowing. Harvesting after only 65 days, we’ve never managed that… It’s a summer cabbage, but can also be used as an autumn or storage cabbage when sown later. For it to keep well, you need to harvest it before it gets too ripe. If it starts to fade or split, it should be cooked quickly, or processed and frozen.

BTK is applied 2 or 3 times a season to prevent cabbageworm damage. Netting also works well.
