Campanula medium
Biennial. Large, bell-shaped 4 cm flowers. Purple, pink or white. Height: 1.20 m. Needs support. Spectacular, short flowering period of 2 to 3 weeks (mid-June to early July in zone 4b). Cutting off spent flowers can stimulate another bloom in late summer. Excellent cut flowers. Hardiness Zone 3.
Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 6 to 8 weeks before (recommended). Full sun to part shade. Well-drained, rich soil, but tolerates poor, dry soil very well. Sow on the surface or barely cover, seeds need light to germinate. 40 cm between plants.
Germination: 80% in January 2025
