Coneflower Purple
Echinacea purpurea
Perennial. A medicinal and nectariferous plant that attracts butterflies. Pink flowers with orange hearts and downward-arched petals. 120 cm high. Blooms from late July to September.
Full sun. Well-drained, rich soil, but tolerates poor soils. Well-drained soil is very important for longevity. Direct sowing in May, June or indoor sowing 6 to 10 weeks before last frost. 2 mm deep. 30 cm between plants. Hardiness Zone 3.
Germination: 84% in January 2026
