Gnadenfeld melon
Cucumis melo var. reticulatus
Melon with orange flesh, juicy and sweet. 15 to 20 cm in diameter. Very early. An interesting variety for short season regions. Succeeds well in container. Originally from Gnadenfeld, Manitoba. 60 days to maturity.
Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. 1 cm deep. 30 cm between plants. Protect from cold nights at the beginning and end of the season.
Germination: 88% in November 2024
