Melon Tip Top
Cucumis melo var. reticulatus

Melon with sweet orange flesh. Variable size and maturity. Heirloom variety (1892) that was popular until the 1930s in the United States. Also known as Livingstone’s Tip Top Nutmeg. Very rare. 75 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained and rich soil. Sow indoors 4 to 6 weeks before the last frost. 1 cm deep. 40 cm between plants. Protect from cold nights at the beginning and end of the season.
