A beautiful pale-green kohlrabi variety that can grow huge, 2 to 4 pounds or even more! Harvest between 10 and 20 cm in diameter. Crunchy, non-fibrous texture. Good flavor. The first autumn frosts accentuate its softness. Can be eaten raw or cooked. Good resistance to cabbageworm. Plant height 40 cm, width 40 cm. An old variety from Germany. Superschmelz means ‘super melting’. 80 days.

Full sun to part shade. Well drained and rich soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 4 weeks before. Sow in early July for autumn harvest. 5mm deep. 30 cm between plants.
