Lettuce Craquerelle du Midi
Lactuca sativa

Beautiful, compact, dark-green lettuce, somewhere between romaine and Boston. Crisp, fleshy leaves. Good heat and cold tolerance. Old French variety also known as Craquante d’Avignon and Winter Density in the USA.

Full sun, part shade. Well drained soil. Indoor sowing in April or direct sowing from May. Ideal germination temperature between 8 and 15 ºC. 6 mm deep.
30 cm between plants.
