Radish Malaga
Raphanus sativus

Superb purple summer radish with white flesh marbled with mauve. Can become very large, but is at its best when harvested small, 2 to 3 cm in diameter. Rarely too spicy. Excellent raw or cooked. Young leaves can also be cooked. 35 days.

Full sun to part shade. Well drained and rich soil. Sow successively every 2 weeks, from early May to late June. Repeat sowing in September. 1 cm deep and 5 cm apart. Thin to 10 cm.
