Pea ega Sugar Snap
Pisum sativum var. saccharatum
Crunchy, tasty and very sweet peas. The largest of the snap peas. Small semi-dwarf plants from 60 to 90 cm in height. Need staking. Very productive. Good heat resistance. An excellent variety created in Idaho in 1994 that was missing and is now found!
Full sun to part shade. Well drained soil. Direct sowing at the beginning of May. Can also be sown in mid-July for a September harvest. 2 cm deep and 10 cm apart. 60 days to maturity.
Germination: 98% in December 2025
