Strawflower mix (dwarf plants)
Helichrysum bracteatum
Annual. 45 to 60 cm high. Small, compact plant that needs no support. Available in yellow, pale pink, dark pink, white or orange. Long flowering period. Makes beautiful dried flowers. Well adapted to container gardening.
Full sun, well drained soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 4 to 6 weeks before. 1mm deep. 30 cm between plants.
Germination: 90% in December 2025

Note
Found at Deaflora in 2024, this is a nice selection of varied colors. The plants are fairly uniform in height, the majority are small and do not exceed 45-55 cm in height. A few are taller and less compact; we have not collected seed from these plants and continue to select them.

Beautiful flowers on 1 foot high plants. I gave they to much space. These could be planted 8 inches apart.
