Sunflower Giant
Helianthus annuus

Annual. Spectacular giant plant, 2 meters tall or more. Huge yellow flowers 30 to 50 cm in diameter. Most plants will make a single flower. May need staking. Seeds are excellent for eating and very popular with birds. 100 days to maturity.

Full sun, rich and well drained soil. Direct sowing after any risk of frost or indoor sowing 3 weeks before. 2 cm deep. 30 cm to 2 metres between plants. The more space they have, the bigger they’ll grow.
