Parsnip Tender and True
Pastinaca sativa

Parsnip with a long white root 35 cm long. Mild, sweet flavor. An old English variety grown since 1897. Harvest late in October. You can leave some roots in the ground to harvest in the spring. 150 days.

Full sun. Loose, well-drained soil. To facilitate seed germination, place 1 or 2 cm of potting soil on the surface before sowing. Direct sowing from mid-May to mid-June (in zone 4). 1cm deep. 30 cm apart. Sow 2 seeds per hole and thin out, leaving the best-looking plants. We recommend growing under netting to avoid damage caused by carrot fly larvae. How to prevent carrot fly.
