Bunching onions (red and green)
Allium cepa
Two varieties of green onions. Eiffel (green) and Apache (red). Survive winter well. White flowers the 2nd year. Reseeds itself. Harvest as needed.
Full sun to part shade. Well drained and rich soil. Direct sowing from May to July. For an early harvest, sow indoors in March. Transplant early, up to 1 month before the last frost. 6 mm deep. 5 cm between plants.
Germination: 81% in November 2024
Untreated, non-GMO seeds from West Coast Seeds, BC, Canada.
