Viola tricolor
Perennial. Small, bicolored or tricolored flowers in a variety of colors. Yellow, white, lilac, mauve, dark purple. Edible flowers and leaves. 30 cm high. Re-seeds itself. Hardiness zone 2.
Full sun to part shade. Rich, well-drained soil. Direct sowing May, June. For abundant flowering in the 1st year, sow indoors in early April and transplant in June. 6 mm deep. 15 cm between plants.
