Bean Mbombo
Phaseolus vulgaris

Half-runner dry bean. Need a support at least 1.20 m high. Emerald green grain. Delicious fresh shell or dry. A variety well suited to the 3 sisters. Originally from Kenya. Mbombo is a creator god in African mythology. 90 days to maturity.

Full sun, well drained soil. Direct sowing after the last frost or indoor sowing 10 days before. 2 cm deep. 15 cm between plants.

Germination: 99% in December 2025
