Note
It’s a funny bean… At the end of the season, when common bush beans have produced all they can, Métis tigré rouge et blanc plants are still full of flowers and young pods. It’s a dwarf bean that won’t die, and can be harvested non-stop until frost. As for being a filet bean, that’s debatable. Let’s just say that old varieties of filet bean are sometimes peculiar… If you want a thin filet bean that meets today’s standards, also known as French beans, you’ll prefer Oceanis, Amarillo or Velour.
The seeds of this bean were given to us in 2017 by our friend Michel Lachaume. It no longer exists anywhere, and because it’s so special, we want to keep it alive!
Probably a brother or cousin of the Supermetis.
