Paprika Boldog pepper (Hungarian Paprika)
Capsicum annuum
Mild to medium heat. Heat rating of 0 to 3 on the Scoville scale. Green becoming dark red at maturity. 15 cm long. Thin flesh. Easy to dry. Makes a delicious, sweet and slightly spicy paprika. Plant of 60 to 90 cm height. Originally from Boldog in Hungary. 80 days to maturity.
Full sun, well-drained soil rich in organic matter. Sow indoors in early March. Transplantation after last frost. 6 mm deep. 30 cm between plants.
Germination: 81% in December 2024
