Petite Yellow watermelon
Citrullus lanatus

Small yellow-fleshed watermelon, 4 to 10 pounds. Very juicy and sweet. Contains fewer seeds than most open-pollinated watermelons. Harvest when the first tendril and the small leaf are dry. Early. 65 days to maturity.

Full sun, rich and well drained soil. For best results, grow on black plastic mulch and protect from cold nights at the beginning and end of the season. Sow indoors 4 to 8 weeks before the last frost. 1 cm deep. 40 cm between plants.
